Nellore: District Collector R Mutyala Raju said that 10,000 acres would get water shortly for irrigation in 4 gram panchayats under the limits of the Dagadarthi mandal after completion of Somasila left and right canals.

He received petitions from people at Tahsildar office in Dagadarthi on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that they had taken steps to complete works of Dagadarthi-Mungamuru channel by September 30.

He also said that they would take up construction works of Somasila left and right canals with Rs 12 crore for 26 kilometres. Mutyala Raju explained that they had conducted special grievances day in all 46 mandals across the district and the administration received grievances related to ration cards, social security pensions and also other issues.

“We have conducted grievances day in Dagadarthi mandal and resolved minor issues on the spot. We are ready to resolve all issues pertaining to the Revenue department in the next two months,” said the Collector.

He also explained that they would give permission to change CJFS lands as DKT soon. He stated that they resolved minor issues of ‘Mee Bhoomiki–Bharosa’ programme. MLC B Ravichandra, Joint Collector Vetri K Selvi, Kavali RDO Bhaktavatsal Reddy and others were present.
