Vijayawada: Actor Sivaji, who has been vocal in recent months criticising the BJP for not granting the Special Category Status (SCS) to the state, faced the wrath of BJP workers at the Gannavaram airport on Wednesday. BJP activists obstructed Sivaji at the airport on Wednesday evening and warned that he would face severe consequences if he did not stop criticising the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Hundreds of BJP activists and supporters went to Gannavaram to welcome Kanna Lakshminarayana, who was coming from New Delhi after being appointed as the party president of state unit. Interestingly, Sivaji also came from the same Air India flight from Hyderabad.

After spotting the actor coming out of the air terminal, the BJP workers surrounded him. They obstructed him from getting into his car and abused him for criticising the BJP on the SCS and other issues. The police immediately rushed to the spot and prevented the BJP workers from attacking the film actor, who later left the airport in a car.
