Bhogapuram (Vizianagaram): A land related dispute led to violence and two vehicles were set on fire. Inspector Raghuveer Vishnu disclosed that one B Prasada Rao of Srikakulam district started fencing around 25 acres of land which was purchased by him.

But the locals of Bhogapuram stated that the lands belong to Kommuru Sanjeeva Tao of their village and they obstructed the fencing works and they said that the lands were not sold by Sanjeeva Rao to anybody.

They raised doubts that the documents might have been tampered with and the lands might have been sold by some others. Later, Prasada Rao lodged a complaint with police and in turn, police registered case against 13 locals.

In the meantime, Prasada Rao intensified the works and expedited the fencing works. Yet again, the locals damaged the fencing and even burnt an Innova car and a Scooty, which were parked there. After receiving information, police, including fire-fighting personnel, rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
