Amaravati: The Telugu Desam Party Coordination Committee meeting passed a condolence resolution for the deceased in the boat mishap at Manturu in Godavari river on Wednesday headed by party state president Kimidi Kala Venkata Ra at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s residence at Undavalli in Guntur district.

The members observed a two minutes silence for the boat mishap victims. The mishap was occurred due to the sudden wind force on the river.
Speaking to media after attending the meeting, Venkata Rao said that Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review meet on the incident with the higher officials and then went to the spot.

He said the state government had already informed about the mishap to the Union Home Ministry. Medical facilities are being provided to the survivors from the incident and Collectors and SP are monitoring rescue and relief operations.

During the Coordination Committee meeting, the party leaders discussed about the Mahanadu, mini-Mahanadu programmes, CM tours and Dharma Porata Deeksha against Central government to be organised in Visakhapatnam on May 22, where Naidu will participate and inform public about the injustice done to the state by Union government and conspiracy politics of the BJP and the YSRCP, said Kala Venkata Rao.

Venkata Rao said the constituency and mini-Mahanadus are being organized from May 14-25. He said the district Mahanadus will be organised on May 23-25. The general secretaries were directed to complete mini-Mahanadus as per the schedule. In-charge ministers were also directed to participate in the mini-Mahanadus.

As the general elections are likely to be held in 2019, he said the party president Naidu will guide the cadre by passing the resolutions in Mahanadu. In the Mahanadu, 18,000 to 20,000 party leaders from across the two states will participate.
