Hike in Santi Kalyanam ticket price
The Durga Temple Trust Board has decided to increase Santi Kalyanam ticket from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. The Trust Board, which met here on Wednesday, took several decisions, including the reconstruction of the ancient Pasupatastra temple on the hill top.

According to mythology, Arjuna offered prayers to Lord Siva and got blessed with Pasupataastram. The temple would be reconstructed keeping in view of the importance of history.
Earlier, the Trust Board increased the prices of other seva tickets like Chandihomam, Laksha Kumkumarchana and Sri Chakra Navananarchana. Though there is a demand to reduce the seva tickets, including Antharalaya Darshan, the board took the decision to increase ticket prices of Santi Kalyanam.
Similarly, the board also passed a resolution to construct accommodation for the devotees and auction 140 acres soon. The auction would be open to all and the auctions funds would be utilised for undertaking development works.
Currently, there is no accommodation facility on the temple premises for the devotees. In this backdrop, the board has decided to construct a four-storeyed building at Gollapudi near the temple.
Temple Board has also taken a decision in favour of barbers at Kalyana Katta. The family members of barbers would get appointments on compassionate ground also. The board postponed the proposal to develop greenery in the north direction of temple premises.
Temple executive officer M Padma said the board stopped sarees and blouses resale on the temple premises for the benefit of devotees. Board Chairman Yalamanchali Gouranga Babu, members Padmashekhar, Velagapudi Babu and several officials were present.
