Vijayawada: CPI national secretary K Narayana said that the BJP was indulging in blackmailing tactics with black money in politics. Addressing the CPI state committee meeting here on Thursday, Narayana said that the Left parties and people’s organisations should take out rallies and protests against the Centre across the country.

He said that the BJP was trying to grab power in Karnataka with black money and blackmailing politics. The Governor supported the BJP in Karnataka in an undemocratic manner, he said and added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was using all means though the BJP had no sufficient number of votes and seats compared to rival political parties.

Narayana termed the Governor's decision giving 15 days time to the BJP government to prove the majority as an opportunity to allow the leaders of BJP to purchase MLAs of other parties.

He said Modi was controlling the judiciary and the Governor system. The election expenditure in the country after demonetisation has increased, he said. The CPI leader also suspected that the Prime Minister and the Reserve Bank of India Governor had intentionally scrapped big notes for providing benefit to the corporates and the big businessmen.

CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna said that they would conduct party general body meetings district-wise to discuss on the important issues and make plans to fight against the governments. He also said the Left parties would stage protests on special status issue in the 13 districts in May.

The party would extend solidarity by participating in millennium march which would be conducted across the country against the assaults on scheduled castes people, he added. Party leaders Katti Narasimha Reddy, Akkineni Vanaja and several leaders were also present.
