In a renewed offensive against the YSRCP, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday described it as a traitor of AP since it was working in consort with the BJP.
Kandukuru (Prakasam): In a renewed offensive against the YSRCP, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday described it as a traitor of AP since it was working in consort with the BJP.
He alleged that the YSRCP and BJP have a tacit understanding to send the state to cleaners and cause hardships to the people. He also pointed out that they were creating problem to him and his party.
Naidu advised the people to give him 25 MPs in 2019 so that the power to decide who should be the prime minister would be in his hands and utilise the power for the welfare of the state.
The Chief Minister alleged that the YSRCP has colluded with the BJP, which did injustice to the state and is trying to flare up tensions by misleading public.
He explained to the people that he made friends with the BJP hoping that it would do justice to the state, wounded by the irrational bifurcation by the Congress. He said that though he went to Delhi to meet Prime Minister 29 times in the last four years, the Centre has not done anything for the state and this was the reason why he had step out of the NDA.
Chandrababu Naidu said that since the exit from Central government, the BJP was trying to avenge the TDP’s decision by creating hardships to the development of the state. He said that Telugus in Karnataka responded to his call and that is the reason why the BJP could not get majority.
He said that Modi was doing injustice to Andhra Pradesh. “Special Category Status is the right of the state and it is not something that is offered by the Centre in a condescending gesture,” he said and called upon the people to rise to protect the interests of the state.
The Chief Minister said that it was his aim to create wealth, make development and reduce the financial inequalities. He announced that the winning Assembly elections in 2019 election will be a historical need.
He said it is needed to get the funds from the Central government as a matter of right and to provide better and development-based rule. He also stamped those people who are cooperating with the Central government as traitors for the state.
He reiterated that the government was trying to complete Veligonda project in time by discussing it with the contractors who went to court. He also extended support for the Ramayapatnam port and promised to challenge the Krishnapatnam port management in court over the limits. He assured that a mining university will be set up at Naguluppalapadu and IIIT at Dubagunta in Pamur.
He promised to develop industrial zone at Donakonda and convince the central government to initiate National Investment and Manufacturing Zone at Kanigiri. Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected works under Neeru Pragati in Kandukuru Assembly segment where he explained the importance of water to the mankind and said that without water, there was no life.
He said that in Prakasam district, the groundwater level has increased by 3.89 meters. He gave credit for the rise in the groundwater table to the water conservation methods including desilting of tanks, construction of farm ponds, contour trenches and injection wells. Those who participated in the programme included ministers Sidda Raghava Rao, Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao and P Narayana.
