Chairman Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Andhra Pradesh  RVS Rudraraju said that recent changes to the policy and global environment place India on a strong footing for accelerating its growth momentum as the world\'s fastest growing large economy in the coming years.

Visakhapatnam: Chairman Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Andhra Pradesh RVS Rudraraju said that recent changes to the policy and global environment place India on a strong footing for accelerating its growth momentum as the world's fastest growing large economy in the coming years.

Briefing about the priorities of the AP Chapter of the CII during 2018-19 at a press conference here on Friday, Raju said India is preparing for the 75th year of its Independence in 2022, confident about its journey of transformation. The country envisages aspirational goals that would catapult it within a short time-frame into a virtuous orbit of a higher developmental level for all citizens.

As a nodal player in the trajectory, creating and driving the forces of growth with dynamism and dedication, Indian industry would rise to become more responsible, more inclusive, more sustainable, more entrepreneurial, Raju said and added that as a partner in national development, CII is committed to fostering the growth of Indian Industry.

He emphasised that CII would work closely with the government and all other relevant stakeholders concerned on a mission mode in creating a robust and conducive industrial ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh. The CII Andhra Pradesh is focusing on theme ‘Sunrise Andhra Pradesh-sustaining growth momentum through competitiveness, inclusiveness and sustainable’.

The competitiveness would be a key for enablers such as manufacturing with special focus on MSMEs, skills with thrust on rural job creation, fast tracking of infrastructure projects, international business linkages for the Indian industry besides creating a conducive environment for thriving industrial relations are the priorities of CII Andhra Pradesh, Raju explained.

The inclusive agenda of CII Andhra Pradesh would include health care, agri and food processing, sustainability, environment, education, skill development, job training and women empowerment, Raju said. Vice-Chairman CII Andhra Pradesh Galla Vijay Naidu, Chairman of CII Vizag Zone Chapter G Murali Krishna, Vice-Chairman of CII Visakhapatnam Zone KVV Raju were present.
