Anantapur: The Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) sanctioned by Niti Aayog for Andhra Pradesh is presently engaged in organising entrepreneurship development programmes to create awareness on AIC among prospective entrepreneurs and start-up companies.

Already, many infant companies that are engaged in health, agriculture, horticulture services have contacted the AIC for marketing and financial tie-ups. The AIC is creating an interface with stakeholders concerned for popularising their products.

AIC coordinator Nagabhushanam told The Hans India that two major entrepreneurship programmes dubbed as ‘Rising Rayalaseema’ was recently organised triggering heavy response from start-up entrepreneurs.

Another one is slated for May 3rd week on the food processing as Rayalaseema is endued with rich horticulture products. The AIC would deal with manufacturing, transport, energy, health, education, agriculture, water and sanitation.

The district being a horticulture hub and also a non-conventional energy hub will help start-up companies relating to the hubs as well as the Kia Motors industry to be set up in the district.

The other core function of AIC is entrepreneurship promotion, for which it will also provide financial assistance to non- financial institutions which include tech-parks and companies for establishing incubation centres across India.

The establishment is restricted to only specific subject areas like energy, education, health, agriculture, transport, manufacturing, water and sanitation. These centres would be called as an Atal’s Incubation Centre, which would provide some vital infrastructural and pre-incubation facilities. Some of the services by it would include development assistance regarding technology, access to funds and business support services.
