Nellore: A storm in a teacup has not been dissipated which arose due to possible shifting of loyalties of former Minister and TDP state general secretary Anam Ramanarayana Reddy. The hate remarks of Ramanarayana expressed during Mini Mahanadu late on Friday at Atmakur created tremors in the TDP where Minister Narayana and hundreds of party workers were found speechless.

He categorically articulated his discontent over party affairs in the Atmakur constituency during Mini Mahanadu giving shocker to the party leaders. Rumours are doing rounds for some time in the district that Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and his followers are planning to shift their loyalties to YSRCP and there was no direct denial from him till now.

Even though, Ministers Narayana and Somireddy announced that Ramanarayana would continue in the party denying the rumours as media creation and false propaganda of the opposition there has been no support to the statements from the concerned persons. “People are not satisfied with the TDP rule and the officials have been giving false information to the government. We have to check where the loopholes are. I am in-charge of the party in this constituency without any charge.

Farmers are not happy in the district even though Agriculture Minister is representing the district. There would be no future to the party if the same trend continues,” Ramanarayana thundered.
He said the reports being sent by officials that 90 per cent of people are happy with welfare programmes of the State government and the fact has been different as the farmers were selling their crops for less prices. He said he hadn’t craved for any positions in the party and government and handed over a detailed representation to the Minister P Narayana in the meeting.

In fact, Anam family played a crucial role in the Congress party for many decades in the district and he decided to join the ruling TDP on January 17, 2016. Telugu Desam Party also welcomed Anam brothers at that time even though senior leaders had allegedly raised objections over decision of the party.

Recently, Vivekananda Reddy passed away and only Ramanarayana is continuing in the party. Followers of Anam family say that they were fed up with the ruling party for ignoring their leaders. Sources said Anam family had planned to quit the party along with their in-laws, but it was postponed due to sudden demise of family member Viveka.
