AR police constable C H Rajasekhar (28) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his weapon on the wee hours of Sunday.
Chittoor: AR police constable C H Rajasekhar (28) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his weapon on the wee hours of Sunday.
He was discharging his duties at Chittoor SP’s Bungalow. Speaking to the mediapersons here on Sunday, Chittoor SP S V Rajasekhar said that the deceased police constable was a native of Srikakulam district and was recruited in 2013.
“The AR constable was working in Chittoor SP bungalow since 2016 and discharging his duties in SP escort and as guard. On Sunday, he committed suicide by shooting himself on his chest with his rifle and his dead body was found by his colleague on the premises of SP Bungalow,” the SP said.
He said that constable Rajasekhar was very honest in his duty. The SP said that Chittoor DSP Subba Rao was appointed as investigation officer to probe into the death of the constable.
