Tirupati: Tirumala is now witnessing midsummer rush and the officials should extend more facilities to the scores of pilgrims who are flooding the hill town, said TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal.

During a review meeting held at the TTD administrative building here with senior officials on Monday, the EO said the devotees with `Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) tokens should enter the compartments only at the specified time and not before.

The Srivari Seva volunteers should be trained to guide the pilgrims to reach the compartments at the right time. He instructed the authorities concerned that the reporting time and date on tokens issued to the pilgrims should be more visible.

Later, the EO directed the officials to purchase the cots required for new Seva Sadan Complex and the landscape should be developed surrounding the Seva building.

He also instructed the garden wing superintendent to complete greenery from Alipiri to Tirumala in first phase and take up the second phase works from Srivarimettu. He instructed Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar to inspect the Pilgrim Amentities Complex (PAC) at Vontimitta where the famous Sri Rama temple is located.

Tirumala JEO K S Sreenivasa Raju, in-charge CVSO Siva Kumar Reddy, CE Chandra Sekhar Reddy, FACAO Balaji and other officers were present.
