BJP MLC demands CBI probe into TTD assets

Vijayawada: BJP MLC P V N Madhav demanded that the government order CBI inquiry into misuse of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) assets and allegations of former chief priest A V Ramana Deekshitulu.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Madhav asked the government to protect the TTD assets and take action on irregularities in the temple administration.
He said the government’s negligent attitude gives opportunity to corruption on the temple premises. He asked the government to respond on the allegations of Ramana Deekshitulu. The government was ruling the TTD in a dictatorial manner, he said.
The MLC said that the ruling party members and the officials were misusing the endowments department properties. He asked why the government was going against the traditions in the appointment of Sannidhi Golla post in the temple administration.
Meanwhile, CPM state secretary P Madhu also demanded the government to release a white paper on TTD controversy. He said that the silence of government would confuse the public. The government has responsibility to provide security to public properties, he added.
