3 die as auto, container collide

Three persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident near Nandigama on Wednesday when a speeding auto-rikshaw and a container collided head-on the bypass road.According to Nandigama police, the auto-rikshaw driver was going in the wrong route and met with the accident.

The victims were identified as Gudimetla Venkateswarlu (50), Shaik Lal Mia (40) and Gadipudi Venkateswarlu (45). All belong to Nelakondapalli and were going to Chandarlapadu mandal on business purpose.Auto-rikshaw driver K Venkateswara Rao was also hurt in the mishap and shifted to a local hospital. Nandigama police registered a case and took up investigation.
