Kadapa district administration on land acquisition spree
As per the directions from government and in view of various developmental activities and establishment of industries, the district administration is going to acquire the lands at various places in the district.

According to the official sources, the land acquisition is planned for night landing of Aero planes in Kadapa Air Port, extension 4/6 lane roadway between Rayachoti-Kadapa on national high way, construction for railway line from Kadapa via Veeranna Gattu palli to Vayalpadu of Chittoor district, for Solar Power projects in Mylavaram and Galiveedu mandals, for construction of Anna Canteens in Kadapa, Proddaturu, Mydukuru , Badvel, Jammalamadugu, Rajampet, Rayachoti, Pulivendula, Ambethkar Skill and Training Academy, construction BC Bhavan, tourism spots, , second phase of Chitravathi Balancing Reservoir, Gandikota Reservoir, Galeru Nagari Sujala sravanthi and 6,000 acres for establishment of industries at Kopparthi village.
Sources disclosed that almost all land acquisition related to the major works of Gandikota Resrvoirm completed. Land has to be acquired for canal works. For Chitravathi Balancing reservoir second phase woks land has to be acquired from farmers. Recently Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has acquired 6,000 acres at Kopparthi village for establishment of industries in that area.
Meanwhile as per the statistics of District Industries Centre (DIC) there are as many as 25 major industries like ABK Publications ltd, Kadapa spinning mills, Rayala seema spinning mills, Balaji bio mass power ltd, Pulivendula Polymers pvt ltd, Jagathi publications Sri Govinda Raja textiles etc and another 8 Agro based, cotton textiles, chemical micro and small enterprises existing in the district. Over all about 45,000 people working in the units.
When contacted by Hans India District Collector C,Hari kiran said that the government is keen on providing employment to the rural youth by establishing more industries in the district. He said in view of having adequate natural resources as per the directions of the chief minister N.Chandra Babu naidu district administration is planning for the development of various tourism spots in the district.
