Vijayawada: State president of the Telugu Desam Party Kala Venkata Rao visited the Mahanadu venue at Siddhartha Engineering College grounds here on Friday. He interacted with the leaders of the 14 committees and reviewed the arrangements on the occasion.

Venkata Rao reviewed especially the parking and food arrangements. He asked the members of respective committees and party leaders to make the three-day mega conclave Mahanadu a grand success.

He also said that the Mahanadu would be conducted in big way compared to previous meetings due to the changed political scenario. The special status and other important issues would be discussed at the meeting, he said.

Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao reviewed the food arrangements while youth leader Devineni Avinash has been supervising the volunteers and their duties.

TDP MLC T D Janardhan said that all the leaders should gain entry into the venue with their membership cards only. The fans and sympathisers of Telugu Desam would be allowed after taking the party membership, he revealed.

He said that as many as 28 counters would be set up for membership purpose. MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) also visited the Mahanadu venue. He said the Mahanadu would request the public to give 25 MP seats and 150 MLA seats to Telugu Desam in the interests of the State.

Arrangements including food and drinking water facilities are being provided for 30,000 members. MP Kesineni said that all the arrangements were completed for the mega event.

The police officials, too, inspected the venue on Friday evening. Vijayawada Police Commissioner P Gautam Sawang visited the Mahanadu ground and inspected the security and traffic arrangements. Special teams were posted on the venue.
