No need for CBI probe into temple affairs, asserts HM
Deputy Chief Minister and home minister N Chinarajappa said that there was no need to seek CBI inquiry into Tirumala temple jewellery issue as all the jewels were in safe custody of the TTD authorities.

Speaking to media after inaugurated two model police station buildings at Tirupati West and Gajulamandyam under Tirupati urban police district on Thursday, Chinarappa said YSRCP and BJP had been using former chief priest of Tirumala A V Ramana Deekshitulu to sully the image of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with political motives.
Stating that Ramana Deekshitulu was making these allegations against the TTD and the TDP government after completing 35 years of service only for cheap publicity at national level, the home minister said the Chief Minister had already reviewed the situation and he would order a probe, if one is needed.
He said red sanders smuggling has come down by 90 per cent after the setting up of task force and appreciated the personnel of the force for their achievement. The Deputy CM assured that soon the state government would construct own building for Tirupati Urban district police office and site would be finalised shortly by the government.
In the wake of reports of attack on strangers by people suspecting them to be inter-state dacoits, the home minister urged the people not to take law into their hands and inform the police about any suspicious movement of strangers or dial 100.
