Chittoor: Deputy Chief Minister and home minister N Chinarajappa scoffed at the allegations by YSRCP and BJP that the TDP was going to join hands with TDP following gesture of curtesy by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu towards Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Bengaluru on Wednesday, saying that the Chief Minister had attended the swearing-in of H D Kumaraswamy in view of the long time friendship with JD(S) bigwigs.

“On that occasion, for courtesy sake, Chief Minister greeted AICC president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and there is no political significance to it,” he clarified and made it clear that there is no need for TDP to maintain close relations with Congress in near future as it was the party which was solely responsible for the bifurcation of the state.

Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy, Chittoor MP Dr N Siva Prasad, ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash and others were present.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, the home minister alleged that YSRCP and BJP had hatched a conspiracy to destabilise the state by hook or crook. He blamed that YSRCP joined hands with BJP at the behest of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “YSRCP leader and MP V Vijayasai Reddy, accused No 2 in 12 cases, maintains close rapport with Prime Minister.

He has no moral right to comment on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu,” he stated. Referring the comments of Ramana Deekshitulu, former chief archaka at Tirumala temple, Chinarajappa reiterated that Deekshitulu was instigated by the BJP and YSRCP leaders for degrading the credibility of TTD. The TDP government would never entertain any illegal and irrelevant transactions in TTD administration, the home minister categorically declared.
