Srikakulam: Junior doctors launched agitation in front of RIMS Hospital and Medical College on Friday alleging that they are being made scapegoats for the death of patients.

Two days ago, relatives of a patient, who died of snake bite during the night at RIMS Hospital, accused and tried to attack the doctors alleging false treatment. Kin of the deceased lodged a complaint with police and a case was registered against doctors.

Felt offended with the case, junior doctors submitted a memorandum to Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy and MP K Rammohan Naidu demanding security at the hospital. On receiving information, Two Town SI Y Ravi Kumar rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators.
