Vijayawada: The arrangements for Mahanadu were completed and the volunteers conducted march past at the venue here on Saturday.

The trial run was also conducted by Mahanadu Committees while food arrangements were reviewed.

As many as 20 recipes are on the menu. Ambika's Catering Events Management is handling the food arrangements.

The same company provided food in the last Mahanadu too. The food is being readied for two lakh people during the three-day event.

The menu was finalised differently for three days. The special dishes would be supplied on May 28 on the occasion of NT Rama Rao’s birthday.

The food items would be provided four times daily to participants as breakfast, lunch, snacks in the evening and dinner.

Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao is handling the Food Committee duty.

The entire Mahanadu venue was decorated with yellow colour flags and hoardings.

The sitting facility, along with air-conditioned system, was provided for all the visitors under the special tents.

All the roads in the city and Mahanadu venue were also decorated with yellow colour flags, festoons and hoardings of NT Rama Rao and Chandrababu Naidu.

The beautification of roads adjacent to the Mahanadu venue was also completed.

As many as 400 members are working in the 14 committees to successfully organise the Mahanadu.

Similarly, 800 volunteers joined the duties, along with police personnel.

Former minister Devineni Rajasekhar (Nehru)’s son Devineni Avinash is supervising the volunteers' duties.

The food stalls and photo exhibition were also arranged adjacent to the main dais.

The history of Telugu Desam and pictures of NT Rama Rao would be displayed in all the three days.

Already, several leaders from Telangana also reached the Mahanadu venue on Saturday evening.

Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, MPs Konakalla Narayana, Kesineni Nani and Devineni Avinash were also present.
