Six persons including 2 children die as pvt travels bus hits a van
A pall of gloom descended on Naidupalem of Guntur district as six persons, including two children, from the village died in a ghastly road accident at Pellakuru in Nellore district in the wee hours on Saturday.
Nellore: A pall of gloom descended on Naidupalem of Guntur district as six persons, including two children, from the village died in a ghastly road accident at Pellakuru in Nellore district in the wee hours on Saturday.
The accident occurred when the van in which they were travelling was hit by a private travels bus at Pellakuru. The deceased were identified as Subbulu, 53; B Poojitha, 2; Venkata Sai Charan, 3; Pulla Reddy, 45; Nagaraju and Srinivasulu. According to police, a family from Naidupalam village of Bollapalli mandal in Guntur district were going to Tirumala for darshan.
Totally, 16 persons, including the driver, were travelling in the van. When the van reached Pellakuru, it was hit by a speeding private travel bus coming in the opposite direction in the early hours on Saturday.
Three persons including the driver died on the spot. Local people informed to the Police and to the ambulance service. The injured were shifted to Naidupeta hospital for treatment.
