Rajamahendravaram: RMC Commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi has directed the officials of revenue wing to submit a report on vacant lands in 15 days without fail and asked the officials to clear the pending files in revenue section without delay.

Reviewing the performance of revenue wing of the corporation, the Commissioner informed the officials that after going through the report on vacant land, tax on the vacant lands would be imposed.

Meanwhile, revenue inspectors and bill collectors should put in their efforts to collect property tax without delay, he directed.

The Commissioner also ordered the officials to prepare a list of tax evaders and issue notices to them frequently.

If they failed to pay tax as requested by the corporation, they should take action against them to collect the property tax.

It was the duty of the officials of revenue wing to collect the taxes as per schedule, he said and warned that stern action would be initiated against the respective officials if any lapses were found in collecting the taxes.

Additional Commissioner NVV Satayanarayana, Deputy Commissioner T Rajgopal, manager K Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
