Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmikantham said that the good handwriting plays an important role in Civil Services exams. Addressing the prize distribution function to the winners of a 10-day calligraphy course organised by the Press Club here on Saturday, he said that the nice handwriting is understandable and creates good impression on the students in the competitive exams.

He said that the good hand writing would change the fate of students. He congratulated the organisers for conducting the calligraphy course successfully. The activities would be successful if they are useful for people at large, he added. On the occasion, he announced Rs 5 lakh financial aid to the development of the Press Club.

Calligraphy Prof P Bhuvana Chandra and several leaders of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists and senior journalists were also present.Calligraphy course results: Overall champion: Ch Lavanya Lahari, champion Tenneti Naga Harshita, leader G Harshita, best student Anadani and best leader K Pallavi.
