Vijayawada: The three-day Mahanadu, the mega conclave of Telugu Desam party, ended on a grand note at the VR Siddartha Engineering College grounds here on Tuesday as thousands of activistsand followers have turned up on the concluding day.

As the political activity gaining momentum with the Opposition parties conducting the Padayatras as part of the poll preparations for the 2019 Assembly elections, the TDP leaders tried to give big morale boost to the party cadres. Almost all district-level leaders, MLAs, MPs, State ministers and thousands of functionariesattended the conclave.

The party had discussed important subjects related economy, development, centre-state relations, activities of the Opposition parties particularly the YSRCP, Jana Sena and the BJP, construction of the capital Amaravati, Polavaram project, development of airports, agriculture sector, construction of roads, irrigation projects, health, education, use of modern technology, real time governance etc and passed resolution on various subjects.

Almost all the speakers targeted the YSRCP and BJP projecting that the two parties are the main rivals of the TDP. All other Opposition parties are blaming the TDP for not getting the Special Category Status.

The success of three-day Mahanadu enhanced the confidence of the TDP top brass, who were delighted to see thousands of dedicated party workers and followers attending the meet in the scorching heat of the summer.During the three days nearly 50,000 party workers registered their names and took the ID cards.

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Ministers YanamalaRamakrishnudu, Atchannaidu, former Union minister Ashok Gajapati Raju, party general Secretary Varla Ramaiah and many other leaders spoke on various subjects.

Hundreds of workers of the TDP have expressed their loyalty to the party by making arrangements and on the successful completion of Mahanadu. Hundreds of volunteers wearing yellow T-shirts worked hard to ensure that the visiting party cadre gets food, adequate drinking water, butter milk and proper seating at the conclave.

The TDP cadre was excited to visit the photo exhibition, where hundreds of images of the late N T Rama Rao were arranged. The party workers donated blood and joyfully took selfies with their favourite leaders.
