Tirupati: BJP State president made his maiden visit to Chittoor district on Tuesday after assuming charge as BJP state president. Earlier, he visited Srikalahasti where local BJP leader Kola Anand organised a huge bike rally with party workers.

Speaking to the media there, he criticised Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu that his rule was filled with corruption and inefficiency. The Chief Minister has diverted various Central funds to other schemes and called them with other names, he alleged.

“Corruption free governance will be possible only with BJP and we will strive to bring such rule in the State. The attitude of the Chief Minister Naidu is unfortunate who has been making falls propaganda on BJP”, he maintained. Party senior leader Santha Reddy was also present during his visit.

When he reached Tirupati from Srikalahasti, the party cadre accorded a warm welcome to him at Cotton Mills on Renigunta Road and he was taken to Sri Padmavathi Guest House in a rally.

After a brief stay there, he, along with his family members, proceeded to Kanipakam to worship Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy. Temple EO Purnachandra Rao made darshan arrangements to them and honoured him with prasadam and memento. He later reached Tirumala to have a darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Wednesday morning.

BJP district president BC Chandra Reddy, other senior leaders like G Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Kola Anand, Samanchi Sreenivas, Varaprasad, Jeevan and others accompanied Kanna.
