The Board of Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) recommended to the government for approval of the financial results of 2017-18 fiscal. The company had registered a turnover of Rs. 612.12 crore in the last fiscal against the Rs.598.97 crore in the previous year 2016-17. 

Visakhapatnam: The Board of Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) recommended to the government for approval of the financial results of 2017-18 fiscal. The company had registered a turnover of Rs. 612.12 crore in the last fiscal against the Rs.598.97 crore in the previous year 2016-17.

During 2017-18, the Dredging Corporation of India Limited carried out dredging activities for Kolkata/Haldia Port, Cochin Port, Paradeep Port, Cochin Shipyard, Visakhapatnam Port, Andaman Nicobar, Kandla, Mongla Port (Bangladesh), Gujarat Maritime Board, Indian Navy, Kochi, Gangavaram Port and Mumbai Port.

The profit after tax for 2017-18 was doubled to Rs.16.64 crore as against Rs 7.12 crore in 2016-17. The earning per share (EPS) of the company has also more than doubled to Rs 5.94 per share for 2017-18 as against Rs 2.54 per share for the previous year 2016-17. The Central government holds 73.47 per cent of the share capital of the company of Rs 28 crore.
