AgriGold depositors problems will be solved soon: Minister
Social welfare minister Nakka Anand Babu assured the government will solve problems of AgriGold depositors soon. He visited Nirasana Deeksha and AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association meeting held at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram here on Thursday.
Guntur: Social welfare minister Nakka Anand Babu assured the government will solve problems of AgriGold depositors soon. He visited Nirasana Deeksha and AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association meeting held at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the government was not in a position to take any decision as the case pertaining AgriGold depositors was pending in the court. He announced the government will incorporate all the demands of the AgriGold depositors and agents in an affidavit to be submitted in the High Court soon.
AgriGold Customers and Agents Welfare Association honorary president Muppalla Nageswara Rao urged the minister to take steps to pay full amount to those who deposited below Rs 20,000 and part of amount to those who deposited more than Rs 20,000.
Responding to his request, Nakka Anand Babu said he will take up the issue in the state Cabinet meeting soon. The minister said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is committed to settle the AgriGold depositors’ problems.
CPI state secretary K Ramakrishna said the assurances of the government are not translated into action so far. He said the depositors belonging to poor and middle-class are facing a lot of problems due to delay in making payments.
