Vijayawada: Pathakamudi Subramanyam, farmer of Nandigama, alleged that the followers of Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao had taken Rs.35 lakh from him and not registered the plot at the venture at Subbaraya Nagar in Vijayawada.

He met Commissioner of Police D Gowtam Sawang on Wednesday and lodged a complaint against Maganti Babu, Vasu and Varma, the followers of MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao.

He said that he had paid Rs 35 lakh to purchase a site at Subbarayanagar in Vijayawada. But the followers of MLA had not registered the site in his name. He asked the Commissioner of Police to take action against the followers of Uma and the MLA also for allegedly cheating him.

But, the MLA denied the allegations that Maganti Babu and two others were his followers. He has made it clear that he has no connection with the transaction. He further said the Opposition parties were trying to defame him and he would personally meet Commissioner of Police D Gowtam Sawang and would explain the matter.

He said the land was already registered in the name of the buyer Subramanyam, a farmer of Nandigama. Earlier, Bonda Uma faced allegations in two cases. A family of the freedom fighter had levelled allegations about the encroaching the land at Ajit Singh Nagar area and two women also levelled similar allegations against the MLA.
