Gumma Sambasiva Rao felicitated
Dr Gumma Sambasiva Rao, a noted literary personality in Vijayawada and also in teaching profession for the last thirty five years, was felicitated by his research students and followers on the premises of Cultural Centre of Vijayawada & Amaravathi here on Wednesday evening.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest of the function and Vice-Chancellor of Krishna University Prof S Ramakrishna Rao said that Dr Gumma Sambasiva Rao is an encyclopedia for the literary works right from “Nannaya” to the contemporary version like ‘nanis’.
Prof Gangappa, guide and professor for Sambasiva Rao appreciated him and said that Sambasiva Rao surpassed his Guru with his oratorical skills and knowledge.
Former MLC KS Lakshman Rao said that it was not a simple thing to guide for getting Ph D and M Phil for more than 50 students. This credit has gone to Sambasiva Rao. Rev Fr GAP Kishore, Principal, Andhra Loyola College recollected his association with Gumma.
The research students of Dr Gumma felicitated him with “Swarnakankanam” (a gold bracelet) with a title “Abhinava Vyasa”.
Dr Gumma replied and said that it was his privilege to have such students and promised that he will continue to render service to literature.
Dr K Koteswara Rao, Dr Venna Vallabha Rao, Dr Jandhyala Paradesi Babu, Koka Vimala Kumari, Dr Rejeena, M Krishna kumara and Venkata Kali Krishna also spoke about the works of Gumma Sambasiva Rao.
