Narsapur: MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu condemned the allegations of YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy against the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and the development of Narsapur Assembly constituency.
Addressing media at his camp office, the MLA said that Jagan had been making unnecessary allegations against TDP for want of knowledge and lack of understanding.
He questioned the opposition leader how many questions did he ask about the public problems in the Assembly session. He said that without knowledge, Jagan alleged that the TDP Government had forgotten the fishermen.
The MLA pointed out that the Congress government had given 30 kgs rice to the fishermen during the fishing ban time and the TDP government had given Rs 4,000 to the fishermen.
He claimed that Narsapur Assembly constituency was developed by the TDP government during the last four years.
He informed that Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh had sanctioned Rs 39.68 crore to construct new roads in Narsapur Assembly constituency. Over the last four years, Rs 570 crore had been spent for the development in the constituency.
He reiterated that the Vasistha Bridge to link the East and West Godavari districts would be constructed at any cost and also the mini port at Biyyaputippa. He said as the Nalli creek silted up, the fish breeds have disappeared.
In view of the situation, the State government had allotted Rs 18 crore and the desiltation of Nalli Creek would be started after completion of the tenders process.
District Fishermen Association president Andraju Challa Rao, State Women Commission member Sirigineedi Rajyalakshmi, District Projects Committee chairman Pothuri Rama Raju, ZPTC members Balam Pratap, Gubbala Nagaraju, mandal presidents Vatadi Kanakaraju, Kattimanda Venkata Mutyala Rao participated in the media conference.
