The first sale of Manyam brand readymade garments of Adivasi women in the agency areas was launched at Chintapalle shandy on Wednesday. As part of the community service activities, the rural police provided a skill training programme in tailoring to 30 Adivasi women under ‘Cheyutha’.

Visakhapatnam: The first sale of Manyam brand readymade garments of Adivasi women in the agency areas was launched at Chintapalle shandy on Wednesday. As part of the community service activities, the rural police provided a skill training programme in tailoring to 30 Adivasi women under ‘Cheyutha’.

Thirty women were formed as a self-help group ‘Manyam’ and started stitching readymade garments and the product was release in the market as Manyam brand. The first sale of the garments was jointly inaugurated by Meega, wife of Siddhartha Kaul (Officer on Special Duty) and Rohini, wife of SDPO Anil Pulipati.

On the first day, many tribals visited the stall and purchased the garments. Speaking on the occasion, Manyam Group members expressed their happiness and thanked Superintendent of Police Rahul Dev Sharma for providing skill development programme in tailoring.
