Amaravati: A nine-member team from the World Bank visited infrastructure projects in Amaravati capital and interacted with people in Venakatapalem village on Thursday.

Director of operations Anna Bjerde, director of social Mahindar Gill, acting country director Hisham Abdo and others interacted with landless people in Venkatapalm and enquired about the measures the government had taken for livelihood of people.

The team also visited the rehabilitation colony at Rayapudi village where the APCRDA acquired lands for construction of seed access road and interacted with the people. The team also interacted with unemployed youth who are undergoing training in skill development in Tullur village.

The team also visited housing project site near Mandadam village. The CRDA officials explained the World Bank team that the government was building 5,000 houses to poor in the capital city area.
