Visakahpatnam: Cashless transaction and paperless ticket, Waltair division launched an awareness campaign for utilisation of mobile application UTS-on mobile for availing the unreserved ticket.

The commercial department organised a camp on Thursday to create awareness among the commuters on usage of the mobile app to take the unreserved ticket. More than 500 passengers interacted at awareness kiosks to know the utilisation of the mobile app.

More than 100 users downloaded the app. To create awareness, pamphlets were distributed, and posters were displayed at the public interface areas. Implementation of the system will avoid long queues for general tickets and payment can be made through their credit, debit cards, net banking, UPI.

Passengers can avail UTS tickets through mobile for train journey and passengers can obtain unreserved tickets in mobile app. On the cashless transaction and paperless ticket, five per cent bonus would be given on every recharge through R-Wallet, the officials explained to the passengers.
