Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy said that the Congress would join hands with the other parties whoever comes to work against the BJP.

Speaking to media here on Friday, he said that though the TDP was founded against the Congress, the formal interaction of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with AICC president Rahul Gandhi was nothing wrong at all.

He reiterated that the BJP betrayed the people of the State by not implementing the assurances given in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. The Congress raised the demand of special status first and later all the political parties took up the issue, he said.

The AP Congress chief also termed that the scrapping of big notes was an undemocratic move. The people of the country were still facing challenges to take money from banks and ATMs.

He said that the BJP would definitely face defeat in the next elections. Corruption has become rampant in the State, he said and added that the YSR Congress failed as Opposition party. "It supported the BJP during the President election," he recalled. Several leaders of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) were also present.
