Eight buffaloes electrocuted at Jagadurthi village

Kurnool: Eight buffaloes have died after suffering electric shock at Jagadurthi village in Dhone mandal on Thursday evening. According to the available information, the buffaloes after grazing have gone to a nearby pond to quench thirst on the outskirts of the village.

The buffaloes suffered electric shock and died instantly as they entered the pond one after another. The reason behind the incident was the electric wires coming in contact with water in the pond. The locals blame the Electricity department for the mishap. They demanded stringent action against the staff responsible for the incident and sought compensation.
