Postal staff strike continues
Ch Lenin Babu, vice-president of Group-C Postal Employees Association, AP Circle lambasted the Centre for not responding to strike by Grameen Dak Seva (GDS) employees for the last 11 days.
Bhimavaram: Ch Lenin Babu, vice-president of Group-C Postal Employees Association, AP Circle lambasted the Centre for not responding to strike by Grameen Dak Seva (GDS) employees for the last 11 days.
In view of this, all the postal employees would participate in the strike in support of the GDS employees.
He said the GDS employees were demanding that the Centre implement Kamalesh Chandra Committee recommendations.
As part of the strike, the employees organised Vanta Varpu programme at Head Post Office in Bhimavaram on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Lenin Babu requested the public representatives to pressurise the Centre to implement the Kamalesh Chandra Committee recommendations.
He pointed out that due to the strike, the postal services in rural areas were completely halted.
GDS Employees Association secretary P Yesu Prabhu, V Nageswara Rao, G Ganapati Rao, BH Krishnakumari and others led the agitation.
