Vijayawada: Navanirmana Deeksha will begin from 9 am at Benz Circle on Saturday. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the deeksha, along with his Cabinet colleagues.

Police released the alternative routes on Friday diverting the traffic which pass through the national highway in the city. Relating to this, the traffic in the city will be diverted by the city police on Saturday till the deeksha concludes.

The vehicles from Guntur side should enter the city from the forest check post at Varadhi- Fire Station-Underpass- Raghavaiah Park–MG Road to reach their destination.

The traffic from Varadhi could also use the American Hospital Bridge to DCP Bungalow Junction to reach MG Road. Again, the traffic from Varadhi could use Netaji Bridge-Veterinary Hospital Junction- MG Road- Water Tank Road- Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium Road.

The vehicles from Machilipatnam side should enter the city through Tadigadapa 100-ft road-Enikepadu 100-ft road- National Highway 65. The traffic from Machilipatnam could also use Kamaiah Topu Junction- Pantakaluva Road- Sanat Nagar Junction- Auto Nagar. to reach the National Highway 16.

The traffic from Bandar Road could pass through Auto Nagar Gate – Sakshi Daily office road - Mahanadu Road to reach the National Highway. The traffic would be allowed through Patamata Highschool Road-JC Bhavan- Gurunanak Colony Road – Ramesh Hospital Road to reach the National Highway.

The vehicles from One Town and Gollapudi should either use Five No Road or BRTS Road- Eluru Road and continue towards Ramavarappadu Ring.

The people, who are attending the programme Navanirmana Deeksha, should use Eluru Road, Sambamurthy Road, BRTS Road, GS Raju Road and CK Reddy Road and reach the venue.

Meanwhile, Joint Commissioner of Police T Kanti Rana Tata convened a meeting with police on the bandobast arrangements at Navanirmana Deeksha by the state government which is scheduled for June 2.

Addressing the policemen on Friday, Kanti Rana said the officers and policemen should perform their duties with sincerity in controlling traffic and avoid unexpected issues at the time of Navanirmana Deeksha. He said that supervisors have to be monitored in all areas allocated to them.

He said with the inspiration of previous successful bandobasts, everyone should be alert in order to make this event a hassle-free and successful, he added. Deputy Commissioner of Police Law and Order Dr Gajarao Bhupal the officers to be on duty till the end of the traffic clearance after the deeksha. City traffic police officers and the officers from across the state were present.
