AP Govt failed to provide water to Palacole area
YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy regretted that the Government failed to supply water to the crops in Palacole area and the crops are withering due to lack of water.
Eluru: YSRCP President YS Jaganmohan Reddy regretted that the Government failed to supply water to the crops in Palacole area and the crops are withering due to lack of water.
As part of Praja Sankalpa Yatra, he reached to Palacole from Narsapuram covering several villages enroute. He addressed the people at a public meeting organised at Gandhi Bommala Centre on Friday evening.
On the occasion, he recalled that several eminent people like Dasari Narayana Rao, Allu Ramalingaiah, Chiranjeevi and Kodi Ramakrishna are from Palacole. He said that corruption was part of all programmes including water, sand, Kolleru and even Vanam-Manam.
He alleged that the sand mafia, by paying commission to the local MLA, has robbed the sand in the drains and canals. Over the last four years, drought situation was prevailed in the delta area of this district. The farmers who could not get water for cultivation, are now turning towards aqua ponds, the YSRCP chief said.
The late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy had planned the Delta modernisation works and even after eight years, works were not started, he lamented. The Palacole people are facing water scarcity.
