Salur (Vizianagaram): Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan alleged that local leaders had ignored the welfare of people and were not interested to complete pending projects, roads etc.

On Friday he toured in Salur, Gajapathinagaram of Vizianagaram district and blamed both the state and the Central governments for backwardness of north Andhra region. Local TDP leader RP Bhanjdeo is simply diverting water from irrigation project to his fish ponds and on the other hand, lands of farmers are getting dry, he alleged.

“Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is simply diverting the attention of youth towards unemployment dole. But he never stood by his words and always skipping them. The government assured that it would construct 100-bed hospital at Salur. But so far, it is not materialised. Bhanjdeo had influenced the bureaucrats and got ST certificate,” the Jana Sena chief said.
