Guntur: Some residents of Budampadu attacked Municipal Corporation Office and damaged bio-metric machine, two chairs, and a table for not supplying sufficient drinking water and for ignoring pollution of drinking water. Locals alleged that despite repeated pleas, the GMC failed to supply sufficient water and added that the officials are neglecting the problem.

The residents alleged that the GMC engineering officials are neglecting the drinking water tank which is not being cleaned regularly. They entered GMC office and damaged furniture and bio-metric machine. Speaking to media, the GMC Assistant Engineer A V Srinivasa Rao said, “They have lodged complaint at Nallapadu Police Station against the residents who damaged bio-metric machine and furniture.’’

Sources in the GMC informed that earlier also they have lodged complaint against the locals in Budampadu. People in inebriated condition attacked the GMC office and damaged furniture again. The officials were in busy in Navanirmana Deeksha programme.
