CRPF constables clean Godavari river

Rajamahendravaram: About 150 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constables participated in Godavari river cleaning programme in connection with World Environment Day at Kotilingala Ghat here on Tuesday.

The CRPF personnel cleared the garbage in the river for four hours and shifted it to dumping yard by vehicles.

The constables said that they would participate in the cleaning programme in future also which was the need of the hour.

It was the duty of all to make the river clean as thousands of people across the country visits the river every day, they added.

Municipal Corporation sanitary supervisor Narayana Rao and others were present.
