Chandrababu Naidu notorious for taking U-turns: GVL Narasimha Rao
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu politicises everything and wants to derive political benefit from every action, Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao and Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana alleged here on Monday.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu politicises everything and wants to derive political benefit from every action, Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao and Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana alleged here on Monday.
During an interaction with the media, GVL Narasimha Rao narrated a wide variety of issues from which Chandrababu Naidu tried to get political benefit. Recalling the series of incidents, the MP from Rajya Sabha said that even one year before Chandrababu Naidu announced that the NDA would return to power and Narendra Modi would continue as the Prime Minister.
“The Chief Minister should explain what transpired in between to make him to take a U turn,” he demanded. Referring to the special package offered to the State, the MP said that the Centre was ready to provide special package and only asked to form a special purpose vehicle to release funds. “Even for Dholera industrial city, a special purpose vehicle was formed,” he recalled.
Instead of forming a special purpose vehicle, Chandrababu has chosen to walk out of the alliance probably due to his political ambitions, the MP said. He stoutly denied that Rs 14 lakh was promised to be credited directly into the bank accounts of every citizen. “The process of bringing back black money has been going on and it would be brought back for sure,” he added.
The MP said that currency problem is only in the two states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where the politicians garnered all the currency and stashed it. When pointed out that currency problem is prevalent all over country, he said that the problem was more in the two States than the rest of the country.
BJP state unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana recalled that he had been watching Chandrababu for the last 30 years and he had never been consistent with his words or deeds.
In connection with the construction of Polavaram Project, Kanna said that a far junior officer has been elevated to the Chief Engineer’s post to look after the activities of the project. “How could Chandrababu justify this,” he wondered. Kanna asserted that Polavaram would be constructed by the Centre at any cost for the people of the Andhra Pradesh.
