Tirupati: AP SC Finance Corporation Chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao strongly condemned the allegations made by YSRCP SC cell leaders that irregularities were committed by the corporation in sanctioning loans.

Speaking to the media in Tirupati on Tuesday, he said that due to frustration over the SCs leaving YSRCP, they made false allegations against him and Minister Nara Lokesh.

“It is a fact that after the YSRCP joined hands with the BJP, several Dalit Christians left the party and the Opposition party leaders were not able to digest the fact and were indulging in mud-slinging against the SC Finance Corporation and TDP government out of depression,” Jupudi said.

It was the TDP government that allocated Rs 2,713 crore to SC Finance Corporation after bifurcation of the State whereas during the 10-year rule of Congress government in the combined State, they earmarked only Rs 68 crore, he pointed out.

Fulfilling the objectives of Dr BR Ambedkar, the TDP government was trying to make SCs financially strong by providing them JCBs and Innovas, Jupudi said. The TDP government was ensuring that the SCs derive benefit from all welfare schemes.

“By eliminating the role of brokers and middlemen, the SC Corporation has been implementing various schemes directly through banks in a systematic way and transparent manner. I am ready for an open debate on the way the SC Corporation has been sanctioning loans,” Jupudi challenged YSRCP leaders.
