Amaravati: Ridiculing the criticism of YSRCP leaders on TDP national president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over not accepting YSRCP Lok Sabha members by Speaker, Minister for Excise KS Jawahar stated that they must know about the law and Parliamentary proceedings before making such false comments.

In a press release here on Tuesday, Jawahar said YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and his party Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy should learn the rules and procedures laid in the Public Representative Act 1951.

The Minister alleged that the YSRCP indulged in collusive politics with the BJP at the Centre and managed to see that the resignations of their Lok Sabha MPs were not accepted.

Questioning the integrity of the YSRCP MPs, he wondered why they waited for four years to submit their resignations demanding Special Category Status (SCS). He further added that public would not believe them.

The Minister opined that the Jana Sena and YSRCP leaders were criticising the State government as they were unable to digest the development taking place in the State under the able leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

People will teach them a lesson in the coming general elections, he said. Suggesting to Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan to restrain himself from resorting to personal criticism against the Chief Minister and others, Jawahar said that he should maintain some dignity and decorum over the office of the Chief Minister.

He said though Pawan Kalyan had announced that the Jana Sena will contest in all 175 seats in the coming general elections, the party had been suffering due to insufficient candidates for the Assembly constituencies. The Minister hoped that the public will again give mandate to TDP as they saw the development in the State during the last four years.
