Cases were registered against 41 persons in connection with power theft and usage of unauthorised electricity, according to NV Prasad, Rajamahendravaram Circle Superintending Engineer of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL). 

Rajamahendravaram: Cases were registered against 41 persons in connection with power theft and usage of unauthorised electricity, according to NV Prasad, Rajamahendravaram Circle Superintending Engineer of Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL).

As many as 938 electricity connections were checked during the raids conducted on Tuesday in the mandals of Rajanagaram, Tallarevu, Tuni and Mandapeta.

As many as four divisional engineers, 15 assistant divisional engineers and 52 assistant engineers participated in the raids.

Extra amount also be collected from the persons relating to power theft as well as unauthorised usage of power, he informed.

He appealed to the people to inform Transco if they have any information about power theft.
