Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday to mark the World Environment Day, he said that he also requested Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in this regard. He said that the unique Nakshatra plants would protect the environment.

Especially, the temples, which are on the top of the hills, should be covered with the plantations, he suggested. He said the green cover should be developed on the Durga temple and already the temple trust board has decided to develop greenery.

He also said that the government announced neem tree as state tree recently. Several trees would provide oxygen to the humans, he said and added that the everyone should take care of trees. The endowments department should identify the vacant places on the hills across the state and prepare an action plan towards nurturing of saplings, he requested.
