Andhra Pradesh secured the 44th rank in the recently announced Happiness Index, informed Sanjay Gupta, Secretary, Planning department.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh secured the 44th rank in the recently announced Happiness Index, informed Sanjay Gupta, Secretary, Planning department.

He was responding to a query by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during a teleconference on Wednesday. He further said Krishna district was the first among all the districts in the State. East Godavari district stood second followed by West Godavari and Guntur.

Naidu expressed satisfaction over the State securing a better rank in Happiness Index this year when compared to the last year. The officials informed that among nations, India’s rank went down from 122 to 133.

While AP has improved its ranking from 74 to 44. Officials further explained in the teleconference that, they prepared these rankings based on the same parameters that were used in preparing World Happiness Index.
