Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner NVV Satyanarayana Rao has directed the officials of health wing to inspect meat, chicken and fish markets and take stern action against violators of the guidlines given by the corporation to sell them.
Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner NVV Satyanarayana Rao has directed the officials of health wing to inspect meat, chicken and fish markets and take stern action against violators of the guidlines given by the corporation to sell them.
Speaking to the officials of health wing here on Wednesday, he said the traders should not sell old stock of meat, chicken and fish.
They should use nets to avoid flies which poses health problems and use running water to clean the area.
Friday is declared as a dry day every week and the fish traders should clean the fish tubs and dry to avoid health problems.
The meat traders would be allowed to sell meat only after getting the stamp of Animal Husbandry department officials at slaughter house and any violation in this regard would be viewed seriously, he said.
“It is the duty of the officials of health wing to inspect the markets from time to time and take action against the traders who violates the rules.”
