He addressed a mammoth public meeting at Tanuku town in West Godavari district as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Tuesday evening. Referring to Tanuku, the Opposition leader recalled that people of the town played a significant role during the freedom struggle. He alleged that the TDP MLAs of the region were indulging in excesses in recent times. He alleged that the TDP leaders were looting West Godavari district though it has given 15 legislators to the party.

Pointing out that former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had given house sites to the poor, he said the officials under Chandrababu Naidu were taking back the sites.
