Man throttles wife, kid to death for dowry
A man killed his wife and son for not bringing an additional dowry at Jampala Sivaiah Nagar in Kurnool on Tuesday morning. According to Circle Inspector of IV Town police station M Ramaiah Naidu, couple Anand and Udaya Banu (23) were staying in a rented house at Jampala Sivaiah Nagar along with their 3-year-old son Vinod.Â
Kurnool: A man killed his wife and son for not bringing an additional dowry at Jampala Sivaiah Nagar in Kurnool on Tuesday morning. According to Circle Inspector of IV Town police station M Ramaiah Naidu, couple Anand and Udaya Banu (23) were staying in a rented house at Jampala Sivaiah Nagar along with their 3-year-old son Vinod.
Anand used to work in a renowned shopping mall in the city and Udaya Bhanu was a housewife. Unable to support the ever-increasing daily needs with his meager salary, Anand was pestering his wife to get an additional amount from her father.
When Udaya Banu denied obeying his demand, he used to beat her. In a fit of a rage, he killed his wife and son and later fled from the spot. The family members of the Udaya Banu have lodged a police complaint. The police registered a case and shifted the bodies to Kurnool General Hospital for post-mortem. The police launched a hunt to nab the accused.
